The Cryo Positioning Systems Controller (CPSC) is a modular controller system for JPE’s piezo based cryogenic compatible positioners, actuators and stages and consists of a 19” desktop cabinet that can fit up to 6 function specific modules. The cabinet includes a USB Virtual COM, Ethernet LAN and RS-422 interface that enables direct communication by sending simple ASCII text string commands from any host that supports these interfaces. Connectivity accessories are available to connect positioners to the controller (direct or via 15-pin Male D-Sub feedthroughs).

Note[1]: use the FIV-command (Firmware version information) to retrieve the installed firmware version on the controller.
Note[2]: optional – controllers can be updated if new firmware is available, but this is not a strict requirement. See software user manual for instructions.
Legacy product: controller with USB or USB / LAN interface only. Requires the use of a Windows OS Command Line Interface (CLI) and/or Graphical User Interface (GUI) software (click here for an application note on how to use this on Linux OS).

Note[3]: use the CLI command “Firmware version information” (FIV) to retrieve the installed firmware version on the controller. If that is different from the version you downloaded, please download the corresponding User Software version from the list above.
Note[4]: please read this application below when using software v5.3 or v6.0 and controllers with an USB & LAN connection on a Windows 8 or 10 system.
